Fantastic early Russian silver purse by Pavel Ovchinnikov, exquisitely decorated with a superbly executed en plein miniature of a vibrantly colored spray of flowers on one side, an intricate bird executed in champleve enamel on the reverse side; on each half, the central panel is bordered with a champleve geometric pattern in blues and white; the interior sports the original blue silk lining.
