I believe that the frame and painted background are both ivory, however, I am not totally sure about the painted background which might be bone or horn.

Beautiful, weathered colors of brown, red, cream, black and turquoise. (I have been told that the turquoise is an uncommon color for this type of basket.)
Measurements: 1 3/8" diameter x 1/8" depth. This is a hand carved button or clothing ornament in the shape of a totem face - made from bone which was over dyed with a brown stain to highlight the carved features. Dating to the 1940's-50's from the same collection as the small owl button also listed on my site. No damage or repairs.
