Composed of a trapezoidal enamel center of a red-orange and black mottled design, within a pierced cast sterling frame of geometric designs. The frame is of irregular width and is enhanced with oxidation. The C-clasp is secure; the matte-finish back is marked sterling and with the unidentified maker’s mark, possibly FM. It measures 1 ¾ inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide.
This classic bears the mark of Einar Modahl, with tiny Swedish marks on front, possibly indicating import into that country. The silver is gilded and the vivid blue and yellow enamel is in excellent condition. The pin measures 1 1/8 inches long by ¾ inch high. Weight: 5.2 grams
A colorful, bold link bracelet of sterling silver and scarabs of carnelian, rock crystal, agate, amethyst and rose quartz. The stones are bezel-mounted on openwork panels, and the panels are connected by double ribbons of silver with applied curling motifs. The bracelet is marked for sterling, with an unidentified maker’s mark of Denise. It measures 7 ¼ inches long by 7/8 inch wide.
Oval, both sides with 14-kt gold backs inset with black mother-of pearl and enhanced with a center seed pearl. The rims are likely platinum. The gold bridge bars are marked for Larter and Sons, Newark, NJ. Each side measures 5/8 inch long by 3/8 inch wide.
Nicely made with a secure hinge and tongue-and-groove clasp marked ‘Made in Denmark/Sterling/Lord & Taylor/New York. The open band is decorated with applied stylized leaves in the Georg Jensen style. There is an area of abrasions to one leaf (see Photo #1, leaf at left of center); the rest of the bracelet has minimal signs of wear. It has a 7-inch internal circumference and measures ¾ inch wide. Decorated with white tour a guilloche enamel in a detailed circular pattern framed by notched rims of sterling silver. The connecting links on the back are original and secure, with no signs of metal stress. The backs bear a sterling mark as well as an unidentified maker’s mark of a W or M in a circle. Each button measures ½ inch in diameter. Weight: 6.2 grams total
The overlapping top of the graduated band is set with an elongated cabochon smoky quartz. The band is partially decorated with applied 14kt gold flat wire. The inside is marked sterling and 14K. The ring measures ¾ inch wide at the top; it is about a size 9.
Handmade and set with ceramic stones colored to look like agates. The stones are of irregular shapes and bezel mounted on rectangular scored panels. The opposing sides are rectangular and undecorated except for stepped rims. The bridge bars are secure and show no stress; they are marked with what looks like a conjoined PK, 835 for silver content and an unidentified mark. The cuff links may be eastern European. The tops measure about 3/8 inch by ½ inch.
Composed of long tubular drops, the flared ends inserted with riveted turquoise-glazed ceramic beads. The screw backs are marked with the Mexican eagle 183 for silver and 970 for silver content. They measure 2 1/8 inches long.
Hollow-cast links embossed with flowers and leaves, connected by scored rings that are securely soldered closed. The original spring ring clasp is in good working . the jump ring bears the sterling mark and the maker’s mark of B.B., probably for Bliss Bros. of Attleboro, MA. It measures 7 ¼ inches long.
