Engraved with an elongated diamond pattern on rectangular panels, with ovular anchor links. The bridge bars bear the maker’s mark of Bernhard Hertz, Copenhagen (1936- ). All connections are in good working order; the cuff links show hardly any wear. The rectangular pieces measure 7/8 inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 9.2 grams
A carved, leaf-shaped amethyst set in sterling with two curved stems ending in bell-shaped copper and sterling flowers. The amethyst shows two small indents on one side, possibly wayward carving marks. The back has a secure original rollover clasp. The back also bears the older Mexican eagle 12 mark for sterling silver; there is no maker’s mark.
Modernist silver elongated cuff links set with cobalt blue spinels, enhanced with an applied silver wire. Each bridge bar is marked for .835 silver; the anchor bars are decorated with engine-turned engraving. They measure about 1 ½ inches long by ½ inch at the widest part. All connections and both hinges are intact and show no stress; there is a tiny nick on the underside edge of one cuff link.
A hinged bangle of copperplate over a base metal, decorated with two applied snakes. It bears the mark of Whiting and Davis Bags on the interior hinge mechanism. The hinge is in good working order, and snaps into place. There are very minor scratches to the surface that are hardly noticeable. The interior circumference is about 7 inches; it is 1 inch wide.
Sterling silver frames set with abalone that shows hardly any signs of wear. Two buttons are marked sterling; each measures 5/8 inch long by 3/8 inch wide.
The chrysoprase cabochons are framed by flame-like sterling designs enhanced with marcasite. They are marked sterling and Germany; the clip backs are marked Metal. Each earring measures ¾ inch long by ¼ inch wide.
Textured, with a scored surface, the bridge bars marked for .930 silver. They are probably European. The knotted part measures ½ inch wide. Weight: 9.6 grams
A dramatic design of cobalt blue guilloche enamel on abstract elongated forms. The pin measures 3 ¼ inches long by ¾ at its widest area; the clip back earrings measure 1 ¼ inches long by ¼ inch wide.
Of Victorian Revival design, with embossed scroll-like emanating rays alternating with light blue enamel. The six-sided buttons are attached to anchor bars, and the connecting links are securely soldered closed. The gilding is worn at the centers and on the anchor bars. Each button measures ½ inch wide by ¾ inch long.
Cast with a patinated and textured surface, in an abstract form. The pin/pendant is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling silver. The rollover clasp is secure and original to the piece. It measures 1 5/8 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide. Gross weight: 8.8 grams
