This sterling silver bar pin features suspended medallions of classical profiles and other Homeric elements, an iconic design of George W. Shiebler of New York. It has a secure modified C-clasp on the back as well as the maker’s mark of a winged S, and a design number of 590. It is also marked sterling. The pin measures 3 inches wide by a little over 1 1/2 inches at its longest drop. Weight: 20.9 grams

This unusual ring was made by ORNO, which, according to an Internet source, was a post-war cooperative of jewelry designers in Warsaw, Poland. It is composed of a polished agate cabochon mounted in a dome that is decorated with embossed Egyptian hieroglyphics. It bears the Polish marks for .800 silver and the assay mark for Warsaw, 1963-1986. It is a size 7 3/4.

The design of these cuff links suggests a Norse influence, though the openwork gives it a delicate feel. They are marked 830S with an unidentified maker’s mark on the connecting link; they are probably Norwegian. The larger sides measure about 3/4 inch in diameter. Weight: 6.2 grams

This sterling silver ring features an unusual (for Mexico) design of flowers and stems applied to an oxidized disc. The flowers are raised to form an openwork design, and the flowers are set with three faux turquoise glass cabochons. The top of the ring measures a little over 3/4 inch in diameter and exhibits a circular maker’s mark of JFR. It is a size 5 1/4.

This unusual teardrop-shaped piece of polished crystal quartz is prong-set in a sterling silver frame. It is suspended from a handmade Mexican chain, though there is no indication that the pendant is also Mexican, as it is unmarked. The silver is deeply oxidized, which nicely sets off the stone. This sturdy pin is probably the work of an American maker; its Scandinavian style is reminiscent of VikingCraft or early Danecraft. It is well cast, with an original working rollover clasp; it is marked sterling on the back, but no maker’s mark. It measures 2 1/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Gross weight: 16.8 grams

This graceful bangle bracelet exhibits the skill of a master forger, in that its thinnest areas are extremely strong and resilient. It bears the mark of Ronald Hayes Pearson, and is also marked sterling. It has a few very minor scratches and a nice, warm patina. The bangle measures 2 3/4 inches across; it has an interior circumference of about 7 3/4 inches. The bangle is about 3/4 inch wide at the terminals. Weight: 20.5 grams

These sterling silver earrings have a bold modernist design and bear the mark of Niels Erik From, Denmark. The wing-like shape gracefully curves outward at the open center. Patina is warm, with only slight signs of wear; the earrings have had a light cloth polishing since the photos. They measure 2 inches long from the top bead, and 1 1/2 inches at the widest area. Weight: 13.5 grams

These white and yellow metal cuff links are costume pieces but exhibit some beautiful metal work decoration. The white metal buttons have canted corners and are framed with embossed scrolls around a center of intricate engine-turned engraving over a hammered surface. The center exhibits a translucent effect. The cuff links look hardly worn. The backs and hardware are yellow metal. Each button measures 1/2 inch square; the maker’s mark of Krementz, Newark, NJ, is on the back.

This delicate Victorian revival ring has a band and mounting of 10kt gold. The carved art glass cameo exhibits no signs of damage or serious wear. The ring has a partial 10K mark inside the band (gold has been tested). The setting measures a little over 1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch wide. The ring is a size 5.
