Here is a lovely 14-karat yellow gold ring set with a rectangular-cut blue topaz. The topaz is a rich, deep color set in a quality mounting that indicates a keen attention to design. There is no evidence of sizing, so if it was done, it was done skillfully with respect for the integrity of the ring. The ring size is 5 1/2. The mounting measures about 1/2 inch lengthwise (that’s both metalwork and stone). The ring ...click for details

They have been restrung with wire thread, with tiny yellow metal spacer beads and a strong gold-filled spring-ring clasp. One bead, fifth from the center, has a small flake and crack; a second bead has minor cracks emanating from the dril ...click for details

Designed in the Victorian style, this American-made hinged bangle features a black enameled surface engraved on one side with vines and leaves. The decoration surrounds a reserve for a possible monogram. The white metal frame is impressed with half-moons and vertical bars, and is plated over a yellow metal. There are minor scratches to the enamel that are very hard to see. The bangle has a hinged clasp that fastens over a button; it is very secure. The inside bears the mark of S.O. Bigney, of At ...click for details
