Circa 1928. Swiss. Marked F. Widmer, .800 fineness silver. This impressive hammered Arts & Crafts silver centerpiece is unusually high style and quality. Its hand-struck lettering on one side translates as "The Municipality Murgenthal" while on the other side Mr. Obrist is awarded this piece "for faithful service as a teacher." Excellent condition.
