Circa 1910. Custom-made in England for Black, Starr & Frost, Gorham. These wonderful Staffordshire plates have three different scenes and are of a generous size making it possible to use them for dinner, luncheon, or dessert (remember, a standard dinner plate in this period was 9"). The hunt scenes are hand-colored transfer adorned with three gilded rings and an outer field in a rich cobalt blue. They are marked on the back both for the decorator and the guilder.
