Circa late 1800s, Japanese export. Wonderful carved raised panther on lid of ivory box. Bronze ormolu base with four lion paw feet. Retailer: Nicholas Haydon, 8 West 56th Street, NYC. Good overall condition. Top has probably has been re-glued 50-75 years ago.
Circa 1800-1820, English. Notice the upturned toe. It denotes an earlier example. The size is also unusual, much bigger than the later, slimmer versions. Very good condition.
