Circa 1942, American. Lotus vase with Calyx base signed STEUBEN. Designed by George Thompson. This gorgeous crystal vase is an example of Steuben's Modernist aesthetic with its distinctive elegance and disciplined sensuality. It is in superb condition with only a bit of a wear pattern on the bottom . This piece is featured in the book, "Glass & Glamour", Steuben's Modern Moment, 1930-1960 by the Museum of the City of New York, c2003, and "Steuben Glass" by James Plaut. SIZE: 10" high x 6" wide.
