Estate jewelry. Circa 1920s, Platinum. Deluxe Deco Style! This period Art Deco ring features a geometric motif set with brilliant white diamonds, topped by a stunning 18.3 carat Blue Zircon. Deco style set the tone for fashion for the rest of the century, and this ring is as cool today as it was hot back then! Zircon is a natural stone found in Russia which is rare in large sizes and in pure blue colors. Because it is doubly refractive, it is twice as sparkly as most other stones. While you find these stones used in the Victorian and Art Deco periods, they are rare in good quality today. Excellent condition. PRESENTATION: Your jewelry will arrive in a lovely presentation box. Where possible, an outer box will also be included. HALLMARKS: none noted, tested platinum. SIZE: currently size 7, it can be sized. WEIGHT: 8.6g. STONES: 18.3ct natural zircon of excellent color and very good clarity with very minor feather inclusions noted at one edge, difficult to see without a loop., .75ct total weight diamonds. The diamonds are all old cuts, European and rose. Their color is white and the overall clarity decent but there are a couple of chips and the cuts are very irregular. Clarity is good for the period.
