Assembled size 28 1/2 x 14 1/4 ins. (72.3 x 36.3 cms) This striking triptych was published by Kawaguchi-ya Chozo ca. 1830. The design shows three prominent Kabuki actors of the day standing on the foreshore with a setting sun, some boats and Mount Fuji in the background. The condition is good. There are a few neatly repaired minor worm holes etc. and some thinning of the paper on the right hand sheet.

Folder 14 x 10 1/2 ins. (35.5 x 26.6 cms) This set of 5 prints was commissioned by the 13th. generation owner of the Owariya Soba Shop in Kyoto in the Taisho period, 1912-26. The present owner, the 15th. generation, says they were given to a small number of clients. The shop still exists and was founded in 1465 AD.
