Ht. 7 1/2ins. (19.1 cms) Silla stoneware was usually unglazed, the glaze on this handsome piece was caused by flying ash in the kiln. Many Japanese kilns were strongly influenced by these ceramics with their fluent graffito patterns. We have attached photos of three pieces of similar age.
