This fine "Kraak" blue & white porcelain dish was made during the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty at the Jingdezhen kilns. The pattern features a vessel with a display of plants surrounded by auspicious symbols. The underside is more simply decorated. SOLD 

A Japanese Lacquer Box. Early Meiji Period 7 x 4 1/2 x 4 ins. (17.8 x 11.4 x 10.2 cms) This attractive gold on black box is in good condition. There is slight wear of the black on the lower edge and on the edges of the lid, also a small chip on the edge of the lid (see photo below) and a bruise to the top of the lid. It dates from the early Meiji period ca. 1870.
