Six Chinese Han Dynasty Graduated Hu Jars
These pottery jars were all made some 2,000 years ago during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220) and are reported to have come from the same excavation. They are relatively highly-fired, each having a distinct ring when tapped. They all have decorative bands around the lower neck and waist, and the two largest jars also have applied moulded taotie mask handles at opposing sides on the waist. In places are "calcified" deposits and ancient root/plants growths from their long burial. The heights are 43cm (17 inches), 34cm, 28cm, 25cm, 17.5cm & 14.5 cm. There are chips to the rims but no repair or restoration. A rare opportunity indeed. *** TO ORDER THIS ITEM PLEASE EMAIL US QUOTING OUR STOCK NUMBER (see above) - WE SHALL THEN EMAIL YOU BACK WITH POSTAGE COSTS AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS *** *** FOR FULL DETAILS OF OUR GUARANTEE AND PAYMENT OPTIONS, PLEASE CLICK ON "Buying from us - All you need to know" ON OUR HOME PAGE *** |
