| A Fine Leach Pottery Signed Stoneware Yunomi Cup by William Marshall. 1950/60s Ht. 3 5/8 ins. (9.3 cms) This fine example of Bill Marshall's work has his impressed seal and the St.Ives seal on the outside of the foot rim. The base of the foot has the impressed "England" seal which was insisted upon by the Board of Trade at the time for pieces which may be been sold or exhibited abroad. I remember having a fine Hamada dish many years ago which carried a Made in Japan label! The condition is very good, there is a tiny chip on the lip (see photo). What may appear to be hair cracks on the interior are in fact only in the thick glaze and do not penetrate the body. | ||
