Maranaw brass comb with silver inlay

A brass comb with silver inlay from the Maranaw people of northwestern Mindanao, Philippines circa the 1920s. This comb is made of brass, with floral patterns in silver inlay. At the top of the comb are two small tube-like attachments filled with white horse hair. Attached to each side are three dangling bunches, each bunch containing six strings of multi-colored small glass beads. The comb measures 6.5 inches along the base and 3.75 inches from the base to the tip of the tube-like attachments, with the horse hair about 3 inches long. Each beaded string measures about 3 inches long. The comb is in excellent condition, with some dirt wedged between the beads.
