A 10.8" square tray signed Teizan and sealed Kinzan, mid Meiji period, depicting an unfortunate encounter between a hawk and a goose.

Condition: Quite good overall condition, There is a faint nick and short enamel crack to the front of the tray, two small areas of enamel cracking to the reverse, and pitting usual to the period. No dents or restoration.

A 7.5" mirror pair of silver wired Inaba vases, unsigned. Each blue black chrome rimmed vase is decorated with a scene of red crowned cranes at the seaside.

Condition: There is a bruise to the back of one vase at the shoulder, no other chips, hairlines or repairs.

Enclosed in silver wire of varied thickness, boldly enameled iris grace this deep blue 6.5" Japanese cloisonne vase.

Condition: Three tiny red cloisons under the top rim are missing, behind these are small chips. The damage is under the rim at the back of the vase above the single iris bud and is not easily seen. There are no other issues.

Enameled on this unsigned 3.75" silver bodied vase are a pair of snowy egrets, bamboo and a single butterfly.

Condition: There is a stable discoloration behind the bamboo, illustrated in the second photograph, also a hairline shown in the second photograph.

SOLD 

Unsigned, this 9.5" vase was attributed to Gonda Hirosuke by its previous owner. The ground is of differing shades of blue, the neck being darker than the body. Sixteen colorful butterflies flutter about the neck above a bird perched among blossoming lotus. The design is nicely executed in both silver wire and wireless technique. Rims are brass, counter-enamel is light blue.

Condition: There is a slight bit of pitting, also a minor old repair immediately under the upper rim, no other issues.

An exquisitely detailed 5" silver wired scenic cabinet vase decorated with four panels, each representing a different bird - a white egret in a stream, a sparrow and bamboo, a hawk perched on a pine tree, and a finch on a flowering branch. Highly polished, the workmanship is exceptional. The throat and base are gilded, the rims silver. It is marked on the bottom rim within a reserve "SILVER". Condition: Excellent, with no chips, hairlines or repairs.

A trio of silver wired cloisonne red crowned cranes flies through goldstone clouds on the shoulder of this 4.5" emerald green basse-taille cloisonne vase. Splashing waves are incised in the silver body, the mark of Kumeno Teitaro is impressed on the base.
