Finely detailed carved ivory monkey face, c.1920's. He appears to be laughing with open mouth and measures 1 9/16" in diameter. There an open crack due to age at the top left -see photo #2. Victorian letter opener made of a deer hoof with a hinged bone opener. The Victorian era often used organic materials for jewelry and objects, including desk accessories. Miniature Eastlake design carved wood and upholstery sofa with 8 legs. It measures 20 1/4" long by 9 1/2" high by 6" deep. The wood has a mahogany reddish stain and the printed fabric is upholstery grade. The colors of the fabric are a beige background with blue and yellow stripes and red and green flowers. The condition is very good except for one side - see last photo. There is a crack in the wood on the one side and one leg. Otherwise, perfect. Great looking and quite unusual. ...click for details
