| This is a set of 2 very large scale Black Americana folk art dolls, c 1920's. This is the woman doll and there is also a corresponding man doll. She stands 40 inches tall and is constructed of a heavy wood frame. Her hand carved black painted head, hands and feet have mustard colored eyes and a red mouth. The face is quite incredible. Her hand stitched dress is blue and white checked muslin. She has a wonderful pair of shoes that are made of a heavy material and are nailed onto her feet(see photo). Wonderful and rare!
