SPRATLING DE MEX./CONQUISTADOR MALACHITE/STERL.4 SHOTS
RARE:Set of 4 malachite and sterling SHOT glasses by William Spratling, made during the CONQUISTADOR period, Mexico, c.1949. Spratling had a contract with Conquistador and produced 300 items during 1949-1951. He received royalties for the designs and the items were made by Conquistador. The silver shot glass sits on a square malachite base. They each measure 2" high and the base is 1" square. Each pair is attached with an original piece of twine. They are marked with the Conquistador shield, the bellmark 13, and each pair is "SPRATLING DE MEXICO STERLING" or "STERLING MEXICO". Excellent condition except for a chip at one edge on one shot glass.....$20 for insured US shipping.
