| This vase has splayed foot, a bulbous body, a straight neck and a deepply foliated mouth with everted lip. The main body of the piece is decorated with a densely moulded floral design. Incised around the neck are stylised plantain leaves, a motive which becomes integral to the decorative sryle of qingbai. The piece is covered with white translucent glaze except for the base, which is unglazed. PERIOD : Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 16.5 cm wide.
