A typical square corner 2 door cabinet with original appointments. The LIQUIDATION PRICE on both cabinets 1 and 2 includes finishing. The size on this cabinet is 39x23x76high.A very solid piece.I've added a thumbnail of the door plates. This is all original, except for the new lock pin.The new lock pin has been fitted so the doors are held in plane.

These are some details of a cabinet we have on our cashigallery.com site. This early style cabinet is a good follow-up to the small Kang Coffer I posted last. Both the coffer and the temple cabinet have carving that is early traditional style. Both are from Shanxi. There are 22 carved sections including the brackets and feet

This small, one drawer kang table is extremely rare. This piece is collectible and a good investment. It is 18th century. The size is 27x18x15high.It may have been used as part of an altar arrangement. It is not a true coffer. What would have been the coffer part, has been redesigned with a drawer. However, the drawer is original. The wood is Elm/Yumu.The fittings are original and made of hand forged iron. What is left of the lacquer is red and blue on the front and oxblood, on the sides. The top is natu ...click for details

While this simple stool my not be considered by most to be indicative of a "Period" antique, it is.The date on this little jewel is 1800, plus or minus. It is of mixed woods. The top is of burl wood.Originally. the stool was covered in lacquer, however, the lacquer has long since worn off.The stool has not been stripped, sanded,or scraped. As they used to say in Hong Kong,"a true Antique in the Raw".18x5x14

The better the piece, the best stories, the tallest tales, the best bull, etc etc etc. It either has something to say for itself...it speaks to you. These considerations are all important.Other aspects are age, wood, provenance, origin, condition and design. There are also attributes. One can find these in various books and publications. Also on my website.CaShi has links to all of the major dealers in the USA,Europe and Asia.
