| A purrfect example of a small square "regional" table.It comes from Shanxi Province in Northern China.The wood is Yumu/Northern Elm. The size is 16 1/2 x 16 1/2 x 21 high. The table is all original including the hardware.A true collectors piece.Further thoughts...I am sitting,polishing an early 19th century gate bench, which has a finish similar to this small table. This gate bench is next to an 18th century painting table, which also has its' original lacquer finish.My thought is, that there is very little knowledge or information about these types of pieces.
