Ceramic maker and sculptor who started his professional career as a potter at Royal Copenhagen in 1949. During the 1950s he produced several series of modern stoneware for the factory. These series-produced wares are typical of the 1950s semi-abstract design and most of them are covered in a dull, brownish glaze. His more interesting work is from his own studio where he created a wealth of unique designs mainly during the mid- 1960s to early 1980s. His semi-abstract vases and monumental sculptures represent the zenith of his production. | ||||||||
