This vitual catalog raisonne printed in 1988 is very difficult to find. It contains 98 pages and over 200 plates of Azechi's fabulous woodblock prints. 66 of the plates are in color. The reference is written only in Japanese but included is a typed list of the translated print titles in English. The book has been used and slightly soiled but is still in very good condition. The back cover is toned. This is a valuable reference for the Azechi collector and dealer alike.

Authentic woodblock print by Umetaro Azechi titled "Volcano Asama". This print measures 4 1/2" by 5". It carries a red Azechi seal. These small woodblock prints were commissioned by various galleries in Japan to advertise the artist's larger works. Frequently they were tipped to cardstock and used as greeting cards. Mint condition, never framed.
