Lovely covered dresser box attributed to Artisti Barovier, circa 1920s. In green with applied pink "pasta glass" details and a beautifully crafted purple and green bunch of grapes on the lid. The entire piece is lightly iridescent, making it glow and reflect in the light. This thin and light piece has a snap pontil, and is a rare piece of early Murano glass. Measures approximately 5" in diameter and 3.5" tall. Excellent condition.
Hauntingly beautiful, enormous, creamy opalescent handkerchief-shaped vase. The exterior is lightly dusted with sparkling gold dust, with an unusual quilted pattern. Circa 1950s. The base is finely polished where it contacts the table. The remnants of a pontil mark are visible. Unsigned, possibly by Barovier & Toso.

In transparent glass featuring dark colouring achieved with the technique of 'coloring without melting,' the pursuit of which was an interest of Barovier's in the 1930s. Excellent example of Ercole Barovier's experimental "rugiadoso" technique, in which "the internal surface is iridescent and sprinkled with ground glass. The 'dew' effect is achieved by applying ground glass particles and gold leaf to hot colorless glass. Rare pair of lovely figurines by Barovier & Toso, circa 1930s - 1950s. They are quite large, with the male figurine standing 13.5" tall, and the female 12.25." Their bodies are solid glass, with sparkling gold dust over a deep green. Their arms and heads are clear glass. The female wears a clear and gold scarf, the male a clear and gold wide brimmed hat.
