Outstanding contemporary jeweler Brett W. Bastien from Santa Fe, New Mexico handcrafted this beautiful inlaid Ranger Belt Buckle with natural Morenci Mine turquoise. He is one of the few Anglo artisans to study at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA). He studied under Famous silversmith Danny Romero, Duane Maktima and Otellie Pasaveva Loloma. He also teaches some classes at the Institute of Fine Arts in Mesa, Arizona.

This most beautiful sterling silver belt buckle with two 14k letters “ BW” was custom made in 1986 by Michael Horse an internationally acclaimed and award-winning artist, a well-known movie and television actor, and an activist for Native American rights. Found this great Sheepherder motive brass belt buckle in a pawn shop in the late 70s.
It is marked on the back “SOLID BRASS”.
Very unusual and never saw another one like it.
Buckle is 2 ½ inches in diameter and will fit a belt up to 1 ¾ inches wide. Weight is 1.65 oz. or 47 grams.
