An elegantly simple bookcase made during the reign of Louis Philippe by the first part of the 19th century made from a nicely patinaed cherry. This exquisite piece consists of a flat molded cornice sitting upon the straight façade providing a pair of recessed glass doors revealing a large display area with 5 adjustable shelves. Note that the glass panes are not original and were replaced at some point. Hardware is original. Circa date 1830. Dimensions 82”high/ 57”wide/ 16”deep.

This is a very nice Vitrine made from solid oak by the end of the 19th century featuring an intricately carved cartouche depicting acanthus and floral patterns upon a pair of nicely embellished arched paneled glass doors revealing an efficient storage compartment offering 3 adjustable shelves, all standing on an adorably scrolled apron supported by cabriole legs.
