An extremely fine, Edwardian portrait miniature by the Australian artist, Ada Whiting, c.1906. This lovely, totally original watercolour portrait by the Australian miniaturist, Ada Whiting depicts a very pretty young woman in a head-and-shoulders, full-face pose. She is shown with large blue eyes, auburn, upswept curls gathered at the side with a pink flower, and draped in an off-the-shoulder white gown. Rectangular papier-mache frame with embossed brass slip. The miniature, oval, 12 1/2 cms. X 9 1/2 cms. (4 3/4 inches X 3 3/4 inches). Very pretty child with portrait in above average condition. Papier-mache frame also good conditon. A nice, decorative portrait.
