The woman has a fine face and outstanding swirling wavy hair. Above the collar of her dress, she is wearing a string of pearls. Wonderful, delicate carving. this pin/ pendant measures 6mm x 4.3 mm. It is in fine original condition, has a secure clasp and pair of bales for a chain. Charming. European, probably Italian circa 1910. Gold Frame shows some repair at the top; not significant-- can not be seen in frontal view. The brooch has an attachment so that it can worn as a pin or a pendant. Brooch measures 5 mm x 3.8 mm. European, probably Italian circa 1900. The piece is very well hand carved, though worn.
