Chinese, SONG Dynasty, "Qingbai" stonewear box & cover with an impressed Peony design and ribbed sides, of circular form, the gently rounded sides of the box molded with vertical sections of bamboo, the similarly cover with a large peony spray to the domed top, covered overall with an ice-blue glaze, which appears somewhat "washed out" because of the flash when the photographs were taken.

Chinese stonewear QINGBAI, Song Dynasty, BOX and COVER, octagonal with ribbed sides, flat base and convex cover. Molded design of peony and sagittaria flowers.
