Chinese stonewear QINGBAI, Song Dynasty, BOX and COVER, octagonal with ribbed sides, flat base and convex cover. Molded design of peony and sagittaria flowers. The glaze has pooled on the cover and produced a deeper ice-blue tone. The peony flower is symbolic of nobility & wealth.
