Adam Buck, c. 1828. Watercolour and graphite on card. Portrait of a child of about 5 years of age, by the famed Regency artist, Adam Buck. The child is depicted with blond curls and blue eyes, wearing a white gown and holding a ball. Signed and dated to the obverse, "Adam Buck 1828". Period wooden gilt frame. Very good condition.

The watercolour portrait depicts a little boy with fair curling hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue suit with large white frilled collars, in his left hand, a top hat, beyond a landscape. Verre eglomise slip within turned and ebonized frame. Signed twice on the frame to the reverse, “Buxton Pinxt.” Oval, 7 cms. X 5 cms. (2 ½ inches X 2 inches). Miniature very good condition. Frame good condition.
