Adam Buck, c. 1828. Watercolour and graphite on card. Portrait of a child of about 5 years of age, by the famed Regency artist, Adam Buck. The child is depicted with blond curls and blue eyes, wearing a white gown and holding a ball. Signed and dated to the obverse, "Adam Buck 1828". Period wooden gilt frame. Very good condition. The Artist Buxton, (English), c. 1795. The watercolour portrait depicts a little boy with fair curling hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue suit with large white frilled collars, in his left hand, a top hat, beyond a landscape. Verre eglomise slip within turned and ebonized frame. Signed twice on the frame to the reverse, “Buxton Pinxt.” Oval, 7 cms. X 5 cms. (2 ½ inches X 2 inches). Miniature very good condition. Frame good condition.

Auburn and blond hair back. Gold case. Oval, 5 cms. x 4 cms. (2 inches X 1 1/2 inches). Very pretty, unusual hair back with locks from 2 different people, and in very good condition.

A portrait of a beautiful little girl with fair hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue, smocked dress with blue headband and holding a stuffed animal. Signed in pencil to reverse, “F Boyd Walters RMS”. Oval, 7 ½ cms. diameter (2 ¾ inches). With rectangular frame, 12 cms. X 10 cms. (5 inches X 4 inches). The Canadian miniaturist, Frederick Boyd Walters was a member of the Royal Miniature Society, London.

Rectangular papier-mache frame with embossed brass slip. The miniature, oval, 12 1/2 cms. X 9 1/2 cms. (4 3/4 inches X 3 3/4 inches). Very pretty child with portrait in above average condition.
