A black mille fleurs teapot and small tazza (footed dish). Guangxu mark and late of the period or early Republic. Clean and sharp designs. Good condition with no cracks or hairlines. Enamel in good condition. Nice example of this design. Teapot and tazza hard to find.

A fine imperial mark and of the period Daoguang (1821-1850) famille rose bowl showing flying butterflies and bitter gourd blossoms and flowers hanging on both inside and outside of the bowl with the twig crossing over the rim. This is a Chinese famille rose export bowl with an unusual ribbed shape. The colors are classic deep reddish pink typical of the Yongzhen 1700s period. No marks, a little burnt orange showing at rim. 5 3/8 inches across and stands 2 3/4 inches high. It is in good condition with no hairlines or chips, tiny roughness along rim not seen but felt. Early 1700s.

This is another example of a finely painted blue and white snuff bottle with wonderful details. It was done in the tradition of Chinese literary landscape paintings in which you will find an idealized micro-cosmos for the scholar. We have here a traveler waiting for the sampan to take him to a retreat in the mountains.
