Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period Dehua porcelain blanc-de-chine Guanyin dressed in a long flowing robe and adorned with a beaded necklace. The figure is seated upon a recumbent "hou" (Buddhist lion-like creature) and she holds a ruyi scepter. Her elegant face has downcast eyes. Pair of Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain ginger jars with domed lids decorated in the Hawthorn pattern, a style very much in vogue in the Kangxi period, with white branches of prunus blossoms set against a cobalt “cracked ice” ground.
