The motif on this vase is classic Inaba on a black ground. It is impressed with an Inaba hallmark on the underside rim and is in excellent condition. It measures 10" x 5.5" and dates about 1910- 1920.
This pair is finely decorated with butterflies over a Ming yellow ground. Both have the Ando studio mark on the underside and date back to the early 20th century. The condition is excellent and they measure 8.75" x 4".
This is a nicely decorated nearly globular form, Japanese cloisonne vase with a dove and foliate motif in a goldstone ground. The condition is excellent with no signs of damage or restoration. It dates about 1900 - 1910 and measures 4.75" x 3.75".
This is a nicely decorated cloisonne vase. Although not signed, the form and decoration are certainly that of the Ando studio. It is in mint condition and measures 10.5" x 4.75". It dates about 1930 - 1950.
The wire work on this vase is done in both silver and gold and it is nicely detailed. The condition is good with some light surface scratching and original pitting in the enamel. It measures 13" x 7.25" and dates about 1890.
Takeuchi Chubei is well noted for the cloisonne work he did on porcelain. This is a fine example executed on bronze with a well embellished signature on the underside and interesting chase work inside the mouth of the vase. The condition is excellent with no damages or restorations. It dates about 1890 - 1900 and measures 8.5" x 3.25".
This silver mounted vase is elegantly decorated with a grapevine motif. The condition is very good, except the top mount is slightly lose. This discoloration seen on the underside is tape residue. It measures 7.5" x 4" and dates back to the early 20th century.
The three panel form of this vase is quite unusual and it is nicely decorated with butterflies, phoenix birds, chrysanthemums and a dragon. It measures 9.75" x 5.75" and dates about 1910 - 1920. There is damage on one corner, but it does detract significantly from the aesthetic of this piece.
The decoration of this vase has an unusual design in which the the neck is used as the flower pistil. The petals extend out in ginbari style work over a light cobalt ground. The impressed mark on the underside appears to be Ota. The condition is excellent with only a small spot of discoloration under the glaze. It dates early 20th century and measures 5" x 3".
This pair of early Japanese cloisonne vases is fully decorated, both front and back. There is nice artwork throughout and they are in very good condition. Each vase measures 12.5" x 6" and date about 1900.
The thick silver sculpture work on this cloisonne vase is quite impressive, as is the enamel work. It is fairly large, measuring 13.5" x 7" and is in very good condition with no restorations. It dates about 1900.
The reddish brown ground on this vase indicates that it is likely the work of Hatori. The work is simple, yet elegant and quite appealing. The condition is good, less one underglaze line which is likely original. It measures 4" x 3 3/4" and dates about 1900 - 1915.
This is a nicely executed, artist signed cloisonne vase with a subtle color palette. There is a small ding on the silver rim with some minor cracks under it. The cracks do not extend beyond the neck of the vase. It measures 4" x 3.25" and dates about 1920.
This pretty plaque measures 14" x 10" including the frame and the frame border is 1.5". We have not unscrewed the wooden mounts in the back to see if it is signed. There are some surface scratches and original pitting, but there does not appear to be any chips in the enamel. This item dates about 1920.
