A large portion of a Coptic tunic, Egypt, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, linen and wool, with hemmed neck or under arm slit above a long intricate band decorated with alternating geometric devices. Below is a large orbiculus with a very beautiful and intricate interlocking geometric motif. Very well preserved and a wonderful example of the Roman weaver’s craft. 42" x 15 3/4" (106.4 x 39.4 cm). Ex Virginia private collection.

A lot of 2 2nd Intermediate steatite scarabs, c. 1750 - 1570 BC. The first with Horus kneeling between two erect cobras, 16 x 11mm, intact, no glaze. The second of tabular form with pseudo-signs on the base, 10 x8mm. Nicely carved for its small size. Ex Los Angeles private collection.

A Coptic bone spoon and a group of pendants, Egypt, c. 5th - 7th Century AD. Lot includes a long bladed spoon with tang which would have been fitted into a handle, L: 3 5/8" (9.3 cm), as well as 4 bone pendants, two in the form of a comb and another in the form of a cross. Also included is an ivory disk or lid and a bone fitting. Largest pendant measures 35mm in length. 7 items in the lot. Ex Northern California private collection.

A group of 3 Coptic bone items, Egypt, c. 4th - 5th Century AD, each with incised detail. The two larger pieces probably are decorative elements for furniture or similar and one is paddle shaped with small teeth at the end, a tool of some sort. Also included are a pair of fish vertebrae, probably from an earlier period. Largest piece measures 3 3/8" (8.5 cm) in length. From Esna. Ex old English collection, purchased in Egypt in the early 20th Century.
