This antique English 15k gold seal/fob is Georgian, circa 1830. It has finely rendered cannetille work, or spirals of twisted wire meticulously forming decorative shapes. Classical Georgian garnet paste reviere,circa 1800. The term reviere is used to describe a necklace with stones that are collet set,graduated and connected unobtrusively.(See Ginny Dawes book on Georgian Jewelry, pg. 74). The foil back amethyst is surrounded by a row of natural pearls. The necklace has eight rows of cream colored natural pearls approximately 2mm. This coral necklace is Victorian. The three strands of natural coral have small oval beads that have faceted crystals in the center. The circa 1830 clasp is lovely as well, and has perfectly matched natural split pearls surrounding a compartment housing finely braided hair.
