This vase is a nice example of the work done by the Imperial Glass Company during the early part of last century. Produced in the Orange Lustre decor of their Imperial Freehand Line this vase is very striking to behold. It is cased with a white interior and a lusterous orange and golden yellow exterior. This beautiful vase was produced by the Imperial Glass Company of America, circa 1920's. A rare example in a red and orange base glass with a pattern of an eight petal flower growing up from the base. Signed on the inside bottom of the vase with the Imperial Cross Mark. Very good condition with a fire polished rim and star pattern at the pontil. A few sand inclusions at the outer rim and swirl marks in the glass are remnants of the manufacturing process. This is a very rare vase by Imperial from their free hand line. Executed in green, their most sought after color, and in a form copied from Durand. Hanging hearts and vines decor in a silvery white on green background with Imperial's signature orange interior. C.1923 Stands 7 1/2" high and 5" at its widest. Polished pontil and fire polished rim.
