"A Junk" color wood cut print signed by Hiroshi YOSHIDA (1876-1950). Size: 6.5" X 3.5" Hiroshi Yoshida studied painting in Kyoto and Tokyo and in his late forties became a leader in the 'shin hanga' movement uniquely pioneering and overseeing the full process unlike the ukiyo-e artists. Comparable sales of similar Yoshida wood cut prints of sailboats include the untitled print Lot # 1028 sold at Christie's New York on March 21, 2012 for $5,000.
