Navajo master silversmith Cecil Ashley made this beautiful sterling silver Kachina type channel inlay pendant with beautiful no.8 turquoise. Exact age is unknown. Pendant is 2 ¾ inch long, not including silver bell, and 5/8 inch wide. Bell for a chain is 5/8 inch long and ½ inch wide. Opening of bell is 5/16 inch.

Taos Pueblo Artist Lawrence Archuleta made this incredible butterfly with turquoise from the Kingman Mine in Arizona and two gorgeous coral stones. Hallmarked: Buffalo Dancer and Sterling. Pendant without the silver bell is 2 ¼ inches long and 2 inches wide. Silver bell for necklace is 7/8 inches long and 7/16 inches wide, and the opening of bell for necklace is 5/8 inches by 7/16 inches. Weight of butterfly pendant is 1.20 oz. or 43 grams.

Turquoise stones are set in hand made serrated bezels and enhanced with sterling silver balls. No hallmark of the maker, but marked sterling on the back. What a dramatic, wonderful choice of colors in the design layout on this unusual old Zuni pin with two inlay dangles on the legs. Inlay is spiny oyster shell, turquoise in colors of blue and green, mother of pearl and jet. Hand made silver drops and the inlay work is set into saw tooth bezels. Shows some wear, but considering the age the pendant is in great condition. No hallmark or artist's signature, as is typical for items of this age. The turquoise cluster brooch is hallmarked “ HV”. According to the book “ Hallmarks of the Southwest” page 175, the hallmark is attributed to Hopi artist ‘Vance Homer”, deceased. The information in the book “Hopi Silver, The History and Hallmarks of Hopi Silversmithing” on page 75, states: “Homer Vance, Sun Clan Village Shipaulovi, began silver work ca. 1920 and worked silver until 1961”.
