Unusual antique ceramic statue depicting the Hotei and Fukurokuju, two of the Seven Lucky Gods, or Hichifukujin, of Japan. This rare item, from the Bizen kilns, dates to the Meiji-period (1868-1912). Bizen pottery, along with the pottery of the Seto, Tokoname, Tanba, Echizen and Shigaraki regions, is one of the six potteries of the Middle Ages.
