A Roman bronze votive of an eagle, c. 2nd - 3rd Century AD, standing upon the head of a stag, which in turn rests upon a tall stepped base. The figure is nicely detailed, the wings crossed behind. H: 3 5/8" (9.2 cm). Very attractive with an even patination, one of the stags horns is missing. Ex Oregon private collection.

A nice Roman terracotta mold of winged Erote, Roman, 1st - 2nd Century AD. This is the upper part of perhaps a two part mold, a large alpha incised into the outside. The frontal portion of the figure is featured in the mold with a large circular area around the feet. Intact with deposits. L: 3 1/8" (7.9 cm). Ex Illinois collection, acquired in the 1950’s.

The sterling silver ring with 14k gold round bezel decorated with granulation, framing a bronze follis of Licinius II (AD 317 - 324), ring size roughly 9. The sterling silver earrings in antique inspired style, each set with a bronze follis of Constantius II. A nice matching set!

A bronze ring with orange glass intaglio depicting a theatre mask, Roman, c. 1st Century BC, with nice detail. The glass ring stone is still set tight within its original ring. Some light pitting and crack through the upper right corner. The bronze ring well preserved with a nice brown patina. Ring size roughly 9 1/2. Stone measures 15 x 12mm. The two section of stucco with the original painted surfaces in deep reddish purple, red and golden yellow. The mosaic floor section with black tesserae within a grey matrix. A fragment of stucco frieze with raised floral pattern, Roman, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, a rectangular ledge above. The bottom of the floral frieze is rounded with a V-shaped groove bellow followed by a ridge with a rounded profile with dentiles beneath. 8 1/4" x 7 3/8" x 2 3/4" (20.9 x 18.8 x 7 cm). Remains of dressing and earthen deposits. Ex Dr. Gilles Collection, Germany, acquired during the 1950’s & 60’s.

A pair of Roman terracotta lamps from North Africa, 1st - 2nd Century AD, one with Athena sacrificing and the other with Diana advancing rt., both with shoulders decorated with an olive wreath. The lamp with Athena with maker’s mark 'POMPEIVS’ on base. L: 5" (12.7 cm) & 4 3/4" (12.1 cm). The first lamp with some repair, the second with earthen encrustation and 19th century collector note in black ink on lower edge near the handle. Ex old English private collection.
