This is an actual working vintage Steam Engine with its original working table base. This is a single cylinder, horizontally mounted engine with a 9.25" diameter flywheel. Found in France, we believe this to be a steam engine used to operate a small machine. There are no markings or serial numbers, so we do not think it was a Patent Model or a Salesman's Sample.

Wonderful British made Antique Brass Octant, signed H. Hughes, London, from the mid 19th Century. This exceptional piece has an ivory scale, vernier, magnifier, 2 sets of colored filters, telescope and wood handle, with mahogany coffin case. There is a label inside the lid of the case although I'm sot sure it is the original. Great scientific collectible for the marine or nautical enthusiast.
