This is a very cute petite armchair made from beech wood by the end of the 19 century recently covered by white fabric and ready for your favorites upholstery. Such low armchair are commonly called “Chauffeuse” by the French due to their low seat; they were originally placed front of the fire place to stay warm. Today most of them are used for a child’s bedroom. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 29”high/ 14”seat height/ 22”wide/ 20”deep.
