Sold 

A bluish-green glazed Qingbai type bowl with incised and combed cloud pattern. The rim is glazed and the foot burned to an orange shade, a sign the bowl has been fired standing up. Period: Northern Song (960-1126). Diameter: 17,3cm. Height: 6,3cm. Good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. A comparable bowl that might originate from the same kiln is in the collection of the Princessehof Ceramics Museum in Leeuwarden.

A large example of a pot from the(Gansu) Siwa culture, 14th-11th century B.C. Diameter 25cm, height 28cm. The saddle shaped mouth is typical for Siwa pottery. Well moulded and elegant of shape. The condition is very good without any repairs.

A small double handled jar. Machang phase of the Gansu-Qinghai Majiayao culture. Ca. 2300-2000 BC. Geometric decorations in black and purple. Fine condition with no repairs. There are some tiny chips missing from the rim but hardly disturbing. Impurities in the clay have caused small flakes on the body to spring off during the firing proces. Height 11cm, diameter 14cm. A double handled jar of good size with geometric decoration in purple and black. Machang phase of the Majiayao culture, 2300-2000 BC. Gansu-Qinghai province. The shape is somewhat irregular showing clearly that it was not turned but formed by hand. Very good condition without any repairs or restorations. A thinly potted fine example of a Bronze Age Xindian Culture jar. Gansu-Qinghai province, 1200-500 BC. Geometric decoration in red and black fired pigments. There's a flake missing from a side as visible on the pictures. Near the base there's a black burned area that shows stress cracks from firing. Combed-like lines show the making proces. A good example in fine condition. Height 15,5cm.

A large size Cizhou jar from a Shanxi kiln. The lustrous copper-brown coloured decoration is very typical. It is identical to a Jiajing marked one in a private collection. This one is probably from the same period. The four characters on the shoulder can be translated as "the beginning of spring". There's a tiny repaired chip at the rim. Further in fine condition. No cracks, repairs or repainted areas. Height 67cm, diameter 41cm. Reduced in price from 1.850 euro to 1.400 euro.

A rare Cizhou jar from a Shanxi kiln with full mark. As far as I know the text on the shoulder reads as: Kangxi 2nd year (1662)in the 5th month-Li Xuen made me-in Shanxi province-Tanzhou Lingxuen County-Houzichen village. On the lower shoulder there are 4 poems of which I don not have any translation. Dim.: 65cm heigh, 44cm diameter. This is one of the very few jars with full date etc. that I have ever seen. Condition: Fine, no damage, no repairs, no repainted areas. Expected wear from use.

A Qingbai type bowl with an incised floral decoration and a light blue glaze. Song period, ca. 12th century. Diameter: 19,7cm. Height: 6,5cm. The glaze finely crackled. In general good condition without any repairs. There's a thin 3cm hairline. On the inside of the bowl it runs up including the rim. On the outside however it is hardly visible and it doesn't run through the rim. It holds the middle of a glaze crack and a real crack, not being through and through. Medium size Cizhou jar from a Shanxi kiln. The narrow and short neck, the wide shoulder and the characters on it are typical for the late Ming style of Cizhou jars. Height 53cm, diameter 35cm. There's a small chip missing from the rim. No cracks or re-painted areas. The glaze on the shoulder is thicker than on the body where areas are hardly covered by glaze. A rare lacquered so called 'sweet meat' box, decorated in 'miaojin' technique, with 8 dishes. Late Ming, circa 1600.
