Antique Mexican earrings are hard to find as these pieces were not made for the tourist. These are authentic ethnic pieces. These earrings are for pierced ears. 2-1/4" long and 1/2" wide. This rare piece was made in silver 970 and lapis lazuli. The necklace design is featured on page 140, Figure 170 of the exhibit catalogue "Silver Seduction; The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda" (2008). The necklace shown in the catalogue was made with jadeite. However, it is quite rare to find pieces where Antonio used lapis lazuli. The necklace measures 15-1/2" in wearable length and has eight central links that measure 1" x 1". The piece is in original condition, shows no damage or repairs.
