In the longstanding tradition of Steuben Glass, this work was designed and originally produced in 1943. J,Dreves was one of Steuben's finer artisans. Clear crystal became the hallmark of Steuben in the late 30's. This tradition carries on till this day in the fine showing of magnificent artwork in the Home Office Showroom in New York City.
This showing is for a rare ornamental Crystal Steuben Vertical Beaver Figurine. Steuben number 8307. It measures 6 1/2+" high and has garnet colored eyes. The under side of the tail is engraved Steuben in cursive. These figurines were produced in 1975 by Lloyd Atkins. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. There are very few light scratches on the polished bottom
This Steuben Crystal Vase is a fine example of Lloyd Atkins' work. Originally produced in 1951. It is 190mm high and 140mm diameter at the rim. It is in very fine condition.
