A Sweet little Italian Lady made these lamp shades for me in her workshop in Venice. All hand made using red on creamy white Antique French Toile. So tres belle! Measuring 5" x 4 1/2" these shades are made in the European manner with clips on the back that attach to the top of the bulb holder. The Color is a medium dark Red design on a light creamy white. This is a delicate and rare find. I purchased this exquisite piece of toile in Paris. I, and 3 other antique dealers, have dated this to be from the 1780's. It retains a lovely faded gold tones. The fabric is in very worn condition, no tears, but several holes. I see it framed, but it could be cut for a few pillows. A real beauty!
