This is one of the BEST Vietnamese Masterpiece of Inlaid Wooden Box, used in the marriage ceremony, inlaid with Multi-color mother of Pearl, circa 19th-20th. century.
Multi-color pearl is the pearl that give 7 shade of color as those color in the Rainbow.
This box was done by an Master of Expert with very high skill in inlaying the pearl, which known as inlaying PEARL IN PEARL, and using all selected color of pearl in difference color, especially the Pearl with Copper color. ( Please see details in enlargement No. 8, 9, 10 & 11
Please also note that the inlay work was done in very details and in very fine work.Especially, the inlaid work on the Dragon which is know as the TRIPLE inlaid work ( Pearl on pearl and on pearl again. Please see the detail on the body of the Dragon which is a magnificent work ! )
